Why, Security settings... Why...
So due too the sort absence on two of my forums. To sort out another forum and life in general. I always encounter a moment where I feel its about right to reset my passwords on both of them due to my inactivity on each of them and to keep my account secure. The only problem I mostly encounter on them both is that the security setting to send out a new password after clicking forgot my password keeps reverting back to "Disallow admin to send new password". I've encountered this in the past before on the forum I had to sort out, with some other admins who were already logged in to change my password for me whenever I see the "Disallow admin to send new password". But it makes me wonder why the settings. (Which I always set the security setting to "do" allow admins to send new passwords). -Keeps changing back to not let any admins to send out a new passwords. (The reasons I make this thread on such setting implications is because my sort term memory is not great... So you can call me Dory from finding nemo!~)

This setting can be disabled via the ACP --> Security --> Disallow "Send by e-mail a new password" to administrators and moderators --> No --> Save
We have this so people can't exploit admin/moderator accounts. Its all apart of giving you the maximum protection. If someone knew your email and could hack it then they could potentially get access to your site by using the option mentioned above.
You can PM us to disable it on your forum. Or if you can log in you can do it above.
