error: The supplied domain name is not well configured
Hi guys, i have a domain name on an external site which i am wanting to change my forumotion site to, i have set up according to their instructions as well as yours from link: https://help.forumotion.com/t7021-cname-redirect-an-extern-domain-name-that-you-own-to-your-board
However when i go to validate i get an error which i am unable to fix, the error in question is:
The supplied domain name is not well configured
You have no CNAME redirecting to : mysticutopia.heavenforum.org
You have configured a A type DNS ( A type redirects to an IP address, and not to a textual domain name like the CNAME )
the domain name is: mysticutopia.ninja
if i type that in my url box i get redirected to my forum site but am wanting to validate on forumotion site as well. please can you please help me, im so confused.

Re: error: The supplied domain name is not well configured
Hello
If you get this error message, it means your Cname is not well configurated
I advise you to start from the beginning. There are three information to enter
1- Time to live:
Indicate your users will get in cache your pages. Choose a long period of time (around 15 days is enough)
2- Name:
It is the particle is the domain. For example:
name.your_domain.uk
If you want to have your forum on www.your_domain.uk, in that case the name =www
If you want to have your forum on forum.your_domain.uk, in that case the name = forum.... etc
3- Value:
It is the url targeted, the url of your forum
You can watch the following video:
The video is in French but I think it can help

Re: error: The supplied domain name is not well configured
You don't need to understand French to understand the video. All is exactly on the same place. You just have to look at the picture.
