HI!

We all use smartphones (nearly) these days.. and are pretty much dependent on it in one way or the other.
So, this topic is for general discussion about the latest smartphones and such.

What's your favorite OS and why?

What's your dream-phone? Razz

what apps do you use daily / suggest to others? (provide the platforms for it please)

I'm having an android device and I pretty much like it. Discuss. Very Happy

I have an android phone (Sony Experia J) and I'm quite happy with it.

As for Apps I don't use many apps.

Smartphones are actually wasted on me.

I use the ScreenFilter app (to make the brightness like super low for night use), TubeMate to download youtube videos, Manga+ for reading manga (don't ask you don't know what it is), rest are games mostly.
Not included any sorts of social discussion apps in these btw.

Forumotion should really consider making an app too XD

Hello,

I currently have an iPhone 5S gold and ios 8 has just been released yesterday and I was the first person in the public I download it Very Happy

So yeah if you have iPhone 4S and later

Go to:

Settings ->General -> software update -> ios 8

Eh I use Google Chrome and Google Maps......those are the default on my phone. So I don't really count them as Apps

Nice so we got some iPhone owners here!
Do you plan to get the iPhone6 ? IMO its not worth the price considering the specifications are REALLY same as Nexus 4 that was launched waay ago.

Yes I am planning on getting it next year because it's not fair in my mam as I went metal for the iPhone 5S and she got it when it was really dear it was £800 for my iPhone 5S and the gold one is limited edition I also have an iPhone 4 and an iPad Air

I'm not getting any iPhone 6 for two reasons.

1. iPhone 6 bends.
2. I still have the iPhone 4s, still works good except iOS did make it a bit slow. I knew it would do that but I installed it anyway. WHY RAM WHY.

I currently have the Samsung Galaxy S4 and I am hoping to upgrade to the iPhone 6 in February when I have an upgrade but I hope they fix the issues with it by then or I might have to go with the Galaxy S5.

You should probably wait until they release iPhone 6's with better casing.

That is my plan. If they haven't fixed the phone making it stronger and all around better then I will be going with the S5. I was interested in the iPhone 6 but seeing how it can bend so easily that really turns me away from that at this time but I still have 5 months to make my choice.

Infact the best android phone to have is Nexus 5 at the moment in my opinion. Better get that one, or wait for nexus 6

I've had the xperia play for like 4 years, it can easily emulate n64/ps1 (offical psx support) and bellow. The whole portable gaming device and smartphone hybrid is real fun to have around.

Too bad the product line got discontinued

I have 2 phones, an O+ Imagine, and a Samsung Galaxy S4.

Both run Android, and I've been loyal to Android XD

My relatives seem to prefer iOS though...

I own an iPhone 5S 32GB Space Grey and I am very satisfied with it! I also tried to use S4, but Android is a bit annoying to me. In addition, I am not a huge fan of big displays!

Android will always be better than other operating systems and regarding mobile phones "i" products are just more expensive, that's their only special feature when compared to other products.
