Solved NavBar Appearance 3.

Post by Ace 1 on May 16th 2015, 5:15 am

Forum Style: phpbb3

Yeah Ik I'm being so tedious with my navbar, but I want it to be perfect.

Some reason this following code isn't working. All I want is for my NavBar text to be able to be changed.

Code:
a[href="/home"] {
 display: "Index";
}

can someone help me?

Its not recommended to use css to change content because its not cross-browser compatible and the code above looks wrong :S (there is no such a value as "index" for the display property). Use JQuery instead:

Code:

$('a[href="/"]').text("Index");

PS: I have not tried the code, but it will probably work Smile

Cheers

Display will not change the name. It is for displaying a position.

CSS :
Code:
a.mainmenu[href="/"] { font-size:0 }
a.mainmenu[href="/"]:after {
  content:"Index";
  font-size:11px;
}

Change the texts Index to whatever you want.
