That is how all forums look when using a mobile device. To see the forum the other way, members will have to switch to classic version.

Please read this announcements:

Hello @smurfavr

try adding this css code in your css stylesheet Wink

Code:
.mobile_set {
  background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#515151), to(#686969), color-stop(0.48, #86939D), color-stop(0.5, #383A3C));
  background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #347DEE, #24445C);
  background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #347DEE, #24445C);
}

.mobile_item {
  background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#424242), to(#57575E), color-stop(1, white));
  background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #DBDBDD, #B4B4B8);
  background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #DBDBDD, #B4B4B8);
}

Let me know :rose:

I want when visiting smartphone forum to look as in the second picture. Your code only change only the color of the forum, but no view.

Hello,

Switch to classic version. When you logout there should be an arrow pointing down in the corner saying 'Classic Version' click this and you will be able to view your forum as it looks on a regular computer.

Ok then, depending on the browser you are using on your phone, find the options or settings menu, then find 'Request desktop view' and tick the box. This should bring up the classic version of your forum for you.

I am not sure what the factors are, I do not know if it is based on the phone itself or based on the site design. I just know I have expereinced this issue before and doing the above forced my phone to view the desktop site which is what I wanted.

I know there is a code somewhere that can force all users on mobile devices to view the site from classic version. I just don't know the code personally though Sad.

Anyway your welcome for the help and I will do i anytime with any future issues you may have that I can help you with. Smile

I have managed to track down the tutorial with the code in question. Note: I think it may only work for phpbb3 forums. http://www.liquid-code.net/t20-force-classic-view-on-mobile-devices?highlight=force+users+on+mobile

Hope this helps,

@smurfavr Try this, new javascript in all pages

Disable Mobile Version
Code:
$(function() {
  if(window._userdata && _userdata.page_desktop) window.location = _userdata.page_desktop;
});

That should make anyone who accesses the forum via mobile device see the classic version.

It depends on the views
Mobile=Mobile View=Current viewing of your forum.
Desktop=Full Website Appearance

but like they told you they are all correct.

I put the code, but no change. The site is seen normally, but forum is seen as a picture of my first post.

Yes but if you use classic version your site will look like that? The above script forces people onto classic mode.

Did anything happen or improve when you tried using the avcweb code? I am asking because if there is an issue with the code, I can ask LG (Avacweb Founder) to have a look at, as I have an account on there.
