Solved Changing text colors in CSS

Post by Horox on July 7th 2015, 2:57 pm

Hi! So this might be really obvious question that has been answered already a hundred times. But here I go.

As I am really bad with CSS (no experience almost at all), I have trouble changing some text colors on my new forum. I'm using PHPBB2, tried BB3, but same problem as well.

Link to the forum: http://tidesofforce.forum-board.net/

In Administration > Display > Colors (Advanced mode) I set this color #E6B23A to every font color and all. But the only font that is colored like that are links Your first forum and Basket. Any other text is still blue originally from this skin I installed: http://en.hitskin.com/search-a-skin/star-wars-jsa/142741

So I realise that colors are set in CSS, and that's where my problem comes in. I have no idea what colors to change in CSS so EVERY blue text on forum is turned to the orange #E6B23A.
I tried changing almost literally every color in CSS to #E6B23A, but it turned the whole design orange. I just can't find the correct lines that change the text like Today's active topics, Overall top 20 posters, Who's online, Administration and so on.

Thanks for answer and hopefully this wasn't already answered somewhere. Don't want to waste anyone's time.

What do you wanna do exactly? If you wanna learn basic CSS read this:

If you wanna change an especific thing on your forum please explain your problem better using screenshots if it's necesary.

Okay, here's the screenshot to explain in more detail: https://i18.servimg.com/u/f18/13/57/72/60/snymka10.jpg
And by extension I mean every blue colored text on the forum. I think it's just single line in CSS where the blue color is written, I just can't find it.

For example, every text on this forum is yellow: http://fallout.forumh.net/

More or less. Add this CSS to your forum and tell us if it's solved.

Link color:
Code:
a:link {color:#FFF;}
Visited link color:
Code:
a:visited {color:#FFF;}
Active link color:
Code:
a:active {color:#FFF;}
And if you wanna add a hover:
Code:
a:hover {color:#FFF;}

This works for phpBB3.

I tried adding those lines and it works like a charm. Didn't realize it was so simple; nor that you don't have to rewrite anything to change those colors.

My issue is solved. Thank you very much.
