-Ban a member from a specific forum-

Post by Guest on Tue Aug 11 2015, 01:13

Hello everybody,so have you ever wanted to ban a member from a specific forum? Because of spam, offtopic posts? With this new feature(if PHPBB3 can implement it) you can. All you have to do is go to your ACP > Users & Groups > Ban Control, you can set the date, etc. Do you like this idea?

You can already do this in the members' profiles.  When you ban a member there are options to choose.

When you press the ban link in the member's profile, a page loads that offers a place to ban a member for a certain amount of days you enter.

I really do not see a need for this.  The reason why is that if they are causing problems in one section then are ban they will cause problems in other sections.

Hello @Ghost,
I recommend you create a group with permissions and you add to those users who do not want access to the forum.

You can put the actions that you can do: See, read, reply, etc.

Read the FAQ: http://help.forumotion.com/t138466-permissions#937548 and: http://help.forumotion.com/t10988-organizing-groups-colors-in-legend

I voted no, no real need for this. You can already do it with hidden user groups if needed.
