In progress A question regarding posting

Post by NuzHim WasRah on August 23rd 2015, 3:48 pm

I have seen a non-forumotion forum allow users to post diaries. That is, a particular user(let's say, Mary) opens a topic(let's say,Me) in a particular forum(let's say, Diary Forum) and posts. Now this topic can be viewed but cannot be replied (not even by Mary). Is this function possible in Forumotion?

Yes this is possible, it is just a simple matter of setting permissions so that the users who you Laughing dont want to be able to reply to a topic, can not do so.

Note: The only exception(s) to this are that admins can reply to any section within the site, this can not be taken away, so an admin would be able to reply. If there are any moderators to that section, they could also reply to the topics within them.

Other then that, it is fully possible. Very Happy

You will have to create a group then set the permissions for the forums for that group.
