Having multiple forums

Post by Guest on August 24th 2015, 6:24 am

Hi, I think it would be a great idea if we had the ability to make more then one forum using the same E-Mail Address. Because I want to make a forum about FOP(Fairly Odd Parents)and it said I couldn't with the same email.

I do not see the reason why you would want two forums to have the same creation email. This would cause too many issues.

What would be the benefits of this?

Well, if you wanted to start over and create an anime forum that'd be good.

I vote no for security purposes. Having a different email for each forum adds a security for the forum concerned. If multiple forums use the same email and that forum and email is hacked, all forums under that email would then be hacked, etc.

Different email addresses adds security and simplicity for forum management and password and backup retrieval for FM to do is also simplified.

Leha +1.

Multiple forums for the same email would cause havoc with forum recovery

Just use email aliases to create new forums

I vote No we use your Email address to find your forum URL in our database if it's lost and we also use your single Email address to say who you are when we need to send you a password reset.

using more than one forum with the same Email address would only make this much more harder and not safe if your forum was hacked. as the hacker would get in to all of your accounts.

I do not think this is the right way to go. While I see where you are coming from it would provide a major security breech and like someone previously had said it would give hackers immediate access to others forums that you have under the same creation email.
