Post by ABC-123 on August 24th 2015, 9:04 am

Hello,
my question is about active WYSIWYG & BBcode tags mode.

On the WYSIWYG (white background / black lettering) - that's good
On BBcode (white background / white lettering) - that's no good ...

Please, help me to make the BBcode like the WYSIWYG... Thank You

Hello,

What exactly do you mean make the text look like WYSIWYG mode? Both should use the forum default text color as set in the ACP (Admin panel). The difference is that when you change the color (using the editor icons/buttons) on WYSIWYG mode, it will show that color as you type, whereas the standard mode will show the bbcode and you will have to type your text inside the bbcode.

Does that explain it better? Do I understand correctly? If not maybe a screenshot could help me better understand what you mean?

The bbcode for for black text color by the way is:
Code:
[color=#000000][/color]
you put that in, your text will come out black.

I got it.

Go to your admin panel>Display>Colors>CSS Styles and put this code.

Code:
.sceditor-container iframe, .sceditor-container textarea {
    color: #000000;
}

Sorry, if there is a problem that my first post is in the Help sections.
Cheers! thumleft

Hello Hi,
first of all thank you for answering.

here a screenshot:

as you can see the "typing" color is different. This is the default setting.
I had a black background there and I couldn't see the WYSIWYG mode...
so I changed it to white and I couldn't see the bbcode.

For you, to be able to see both, I've changed the background to light blue...
but I want > BLK background >WHI typing.

I hope this is clear...

@KpuCk0 I have tried, but is not working. Thank You Smile

What is your forum's default text color?

Just to confirm, have you ever changed the text color, using the editor icons, in the WYSIWYG mode?

White on grey background.

Brendon, changing the color during the editing will influence the final post.
For as much as I would like Harlequin forum Laughing I dont want to give the trouble (to the user) to pick a color every time they post something. or have a light blue background to fit the purpose. alien

Well no, I was just asking, because if you ever changed the color on WYSIWYG mode, its possible that it could be remmebering a color it was too, meaning black and its not appearing the default color.

Yep, that is the 1st thing I thought.

So I wrote a sentence in WYSIWYG mode,
and then switch the editor mode... and the [color:95f8=# xxx] was not there. scratch so no color is active.

I'm not sure, but this would help you.I find a old thread for your problem.

Just change the font color code to black.
