Solved How do I reposition topics in a forum?

Post by Mordred78 on September 4th 2015, 11:37 pm

I'm wondering how I would reposition topics in a forum. Right now I have two topics but I want the topic that's on the bottom to be first instead of the one that's currentlyat the top. Is there any way to reposition topics in that way? And I'm the founder, just to clear things up incase that factors into this.

Do you mean you want the last post made by the members to show up first and the first post that was the first post to be last every time ?

if yes then you need to do the following:
ACP >> General Tab >> Forum > Categories and forums >> find the forum you want to change and click on the little yellow cog >> Edit look for Sort the posts of a topic by:

Then save You will have to do this to all your forums thou and there is no other faster way to do this

Can we have some specifics?

Are there only two topic in the forum?
Are they stickies/announcements?
Do the topics have more than one post?
Are they locked?
Are the dates/views important to you?

I'm assuming that this is a case where you want the rules to be on top or something similar.
If that's the case, then one option would be to switch out the OP posts and changing the titles.

Also, announcements have the priority over stickies, so maybe you could make use of that.
