Description of problem

I need some help

I was helping one of my members update his password, and now my name shows up over his email address in his profile. It is happening on all the profiles of the people registered. How do I get rid of it?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

What preciselly do you mean by your name shows up over his email address? Do you mean in the acp (admin panel) profile field?

If so, I believe this due to a somewhat known buv with Forumotion that happenson some forums and with some browsers.

Solved Re: Admin Panel profiles

Post by brandon_g on October 4th 2015, 5:46 am

Well as I said, it seems to be a bug or glitch between certain browsers (more specificly Firefox) and Forumotion that is the root of this issue. Perhaps these topics can explain and help you resolve this better then I: http://help.forumotion.com/t141719-can-t-see-a-users-email-address-in-admin-panel

Hope this helps,

Try This: Do not use the save password and username feature in your browser.

Well, you were right Brandon, it sure does have something to do with FireFox. I went into IE Saturday night after I read your last post, and everything was normal again. I do not typically use IE, so I will give your suggestion a shot SLGray.

I will let you know if shutting off the password save works.

Thanks a lot guys.

No problem, you could also maybe try downloading another browser such as Google Chrome, etc.

Glad I could help! Your welcome for it anytime! Smile

I use Firefox, but I do not use the save passwords and usernames. Because of this, I do not have the issue of my username appearing in other members' profiles.

it will not matter what browser you use if you save the password and username to your browser it will do the same thing.

it is down to the data used to save the info to your browser is looking for parts of your account marked as Email Username and password.

Try removing FM from your saved passwords.

That will fix your problem.

If not you will have to use other browsers to change passwords and Email addresses without saved data to it.
