Can someone tell me how to add separators/dividers between posts and topics?

Thank you

Hi again ^^

Try adding this CSS rule to your stylesheet :
Code:
.post + tr > td {
  border-bottom:1px solid #5D3F29;
}

It should add a border below each post. You can change the color, size, etc.. as you like. Wink

Normally, this CSS will do the trick :
Code:
.forumline td {
  border-bottom:1px solid #5D3F29;
}
However, it'll place borders in numerous places.

If you want to have the borders only on the topics / forums go to Admin Panel > Display > Templates

Edit the index_box and replace :
Code:
<table class="forumline" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">

by :
Code:
<table class="forumline forum-content" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">
Save and publish that template.

Then edit the topics_list_box and replace :
Code:
<table class="forumline" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">

by :
Code:
<table class="forumline forum-content" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">

Save and publish this template, and finally, add the following CSS to your stylesheet.
Code:
.forum-content td {
  border-bottom:1px solid #5D3F29;
}

this one:

.bodyline{
     background-color: #cb9d7a
    background-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundbrown/browncenter.jpg");;

   border-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundblue/Image3.jpg") 15 15 15 15

Hmm.. weird. Think

I can see there's some semi-colons missing, so try replacing it with this :
Code:
.bodyline{
    background-color: #cb9d7a
    background-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundbrown/browncenter.jpg");

  border-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundblue/Image3.jpg") 15 15 15 15;
    border: 10px;
}

Oh, yes ! I see what the problem is now. border: 10px needs to be changed to border-width: 10px;

See if this works :
Code:
.bodyline{
  background-color: #cb9d7a
  background-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundbrown/browncenter.jpg");

  border-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundblue/Image3.jpg") 15 15 15 15;
  border-width:10px;
}

You're welcome ^^

If you want, this site offers some good beginner tutorials on CSS and other languages. Their reference is particularly useful if you're just trying to find a specific style property to use. Smile

Okay when I tried to import from my testing site to the real site, the css codes are not showing on the real site.

.bodyline{
  background-color: #cb9d7a
  background-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundbrown/browncenter.jpg");

  border-image: url("http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq205/belle_cda/backgroundblue/Image3.jpg") 15 15 15 15;
  border-width:10px;
}
.mainmenu{
     font-size : 14px;
     color : #5d3f29 }
.post + tr > td {
  border-bottom:1px solid #5D3F29;
}
.forumline td {
  border-bottom:1px solid #5D3F29;
}

Everything looks good to me, so to make sure it's not an error elsewhere, try pasting the CSS at the top of your stylesheet.

For it to work in firefox I had to add the following to the stylesheet and then it was fine in firefox.

Code:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/parent.css" type="text/css" />
