Solved How to place a google HTML Tag for ownership of my forum on the home page

Post by yotastreetmachines November 14th 2015, 4:09 pm

my created forum http://yotastreetmachines.forumotion.com/

I need to verify my ownership of the forum with google. I added the HTML Tag, however not in the correct place and certainly not on the home page css

Verification failed for http://yotastreetmachines.forumotion.com/ using the Meta tag method (less than a minute ago). Your meta tag is not formatted correctly. To avoid errors, copy and paste the contents of the meta tag directly from the instructions.
Verify your ownership of http://yotastreetmachines.forumotion.com/. Learn more.

1. Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.

<meta name="google-site-verification" content="6e6Y5RSxO7Prd0KxdYa8MKkEaj2PhTWTSw33FiGCF4c" />

thanks for any help!

Hello,

1st: What precisely do you mean by 'site verification'?
2nd: Where did you add that html tag/line in your ACP (admin panel)?

Go to your Admin panel -> Display -> Templates - General find overall_header, click edit and just below <head> tag add that code.

Save changes, click on green + (publish changes) and that's it.
