Solved FACEBOOK, Twitter etc,

Post by Maggie67 on November 19th 2015, 5:19 am

Hi. Hope I'm posting in the right place. I do not want anything shared on Twitter, Facebook or anywhere from my forum. I want my forum private to members. I am wondering how to remove these share buttons at the top of the home page. I do not want anything shared on social networks.

Hey Maggie67
Just go to Display > Colors > CSS and paste the code below and hit Save!
Code:
#fa_share {
display: none!important;
}

Hello,
By going Kiyomizu told you in the admin panel (acp), you should be able to disable these.

Thanks Brandon, I don't want to try to do it again as I'm not sure what I'm doing in the (acp). I wonder if anyone would be willing to come on my forum to do this for me. I would be most appreciated for help.

Thanks margaret

If you go to that part of the acp, it is then as simple as ticking 'No' and saving. I wouldn't worry about making a mistake on socal network stuff, shouldnt mess anything up on your forum and mistakes are how we learn Wink.

Thanks for your reply. I'm just really stuck on this one. I really can't find acp but find the items Facebook, Twitter. I place dot in NO then save in admin panel. However when I leave admin panel and go back to forum the icons are still there and able to use them to sign into the social networks.
Thanks Margaret

Acp is an acyromn used here on the support forum for the admin panel. Can you post a screenshot of the settings in that section of the admin panel? Where you ticked no?
