Solved Buttons too bright

Post by Guest on November 30th 2015, 11:07 pm

Technical Details

Forum version : #phpBB2
Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Google Chrome
Screenshot of problem : https://i68.servimg.com/u/f68/19/33/82/12/screen10.jpg
Who the problem concerns : All members
Forum link : http://theunforgivingseas.forumotion.com

Description of problem

As you can see in the screenshot, the "Preview" and "Send" buttons are too bright to see. I have searched through the CSS coding trying to find a way to darken the text or photos to upload new ones, but I haven't found any. And it's not just those buttons, it's similar ones around the forum too with the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated in knowing how I can simply darken the text so it can be seen clearly. Thanks!

Its ok i have found a forum that guests can post in so i can see the buttons

in your CSS files

Look for :
Code:
input.liteoption {
    background-color: #B8B8B8;
    font-weight: 400;
}

Change:
Code:
background-color: #B8B8B8;
Change the Hex colour Code = #B8B8B8 To your own choice of colour

To change the text Colour Add:
Code:
color:#FFF;
After the background Colour Code
Change the #FFF to your own choice

Solved Re: Buttons too bright

Post by APE on November 30th 2015, 11:53 pm

Ok there is 3 parts to this one Wink

Hover code:
Find:
Code:
a.button1:hover, a.button2:hover, button.button2:hover, input.button1:hover, input.button2:hover {
    background-position: 0px 100%;
    border: 1px solid #E6FF57;
    color: #E6FF57;
}
Change the colour to what you want
If you Do not want a Hover change just remove the full code.

Next for the Button without Hover....
Find:
Code:
a.button1, a.button2, button.button2, input.button1, input.button2 {
    background-color: #FAFAFA;
    background-image: url("http://illiweb.com/fa/prosilver/bg_button.gif");
    background-position: center top;
    background-repeat: repeat-x;
    color: #000;
    font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    overflow: visible;
    padding: 2px 3px;
    width: auto !important;
}

It's the same as the way you changed it before but you need to Note one thing on this code
This code has a background to it that is an image Not just a colour
This part of the code is
Code:
background-image: url("http://illiweb.com/fa/prosilver/bg_button.gif");
The url is the part you change if you want a background if you do not want this background then just remove that part of the code Wink
