This is just something I whipped up to get a better understanding of what you're asking. The size is a little larger to keep the quality up, since this site both auto-resizes as well as puts it into a frame, making the render a bit tricky to play with. So are you asking that it fits into the circle frame buy appears otherwise (like the above) or the render within the circle?

But it's not necessary to include the full render, perhaps just the upper body is enough for it.

I'm an administrator on a bunch of forumotion forums, but lately this is the one I'm using the most.

I get it, but I kinda don't too. For requests like "avatar" or "signature" I feel the forum address is redundant. It does not matter which forum I specify because it's highly likely I'll use it in all forums.
And about functional, yes it's my test forum but I can argue it's functional because we'll that is the forum's function. I develop and test forum designs there and I have a couple of friends too who do the same there, so yes its a functional forum.
Perhaps the rules need to be a bit more thought out.
