Solved border on boxes changing color

Post by rocket2300 on December 14th 2015, 4:35 pm

Whenever I put my mouse over any box in the "profile", "login", "title of topic", "reason for editing"
or any similar box the border changes from white to black. Looks like its a global setting somewhere
but I can't find it. Ive checked the colors setting and can't see anything, so im guessing it might be
in the CSS ?.

Using PhpBB3 and forum address is www.suzuki-intruder.org

Here is picture.

As you can see the white border around the "MSN Messenger" box went black as soon as I put my
mouse over it. I want the borders to stay white.

Add this in your CSS
Code:
input[type="text"]:hover, textarea.inputbox:hover {
  border-color: white!important;
}

Change the color to your liking Smile

Thanks. its better, but I don't want any hover, I just need them to stay white all the time, I tried the
code you gave and it does stay white whilst my mouse is over the box, but once I start typing
and move the mouse away it goes black again.

Try this instead
Code:
input[type="text"], textarea.inputbox, input[type="text"]:hover, textarea.inputbox:hover, input[type="text"]:focus, textarea.inputbox:focus {
  border-color: white!important;
}

This makes sure that the color stays the same in all states, whether it is normal, active or hovered.

Almost there, all are ok apart from the login box, the username box border stays white, but the "password" box border still turns black when I put my mouse over it.

Remove all the code before and add this one instead:
Code:
input[type="password"], input[type="password"]:hover, input[type="password]:focus, input[type="text"], textarea.inputbox, input[type="text"]:hover, textarea.inputbox:hover, input[type="text"]:focus, textarea.inputbox:focus {
  border-color: white!important;
}

Wait did you remove all codes from css? Or did you remove the one I posted before?
Edit: I can't see any problems right now in your forum.

No I just removed the css that you gave me before and replaced it with the new ccs code. Ive
had to remove it because the new code didn't work. When you click on "login" the username box
is ok, its just the password box border thats turns black, which seems very odd ?.

I always make a back up of my css before changing anything and then I can just replace it if
something doesn't work.

Ive also just found that when I go into my profile that the border on the "Upload an Avatar
from your computer" box also turns black. Seems very strange why it should just be those 2 ?.
