Hello, try changing the body class to #wrap and try again:

Code:
#wrap {
opacity: .85;
filter: alpha(opacity=85);
}

As far as I know, there's no easy method to simply do it via CSS (I might be wrong)
The easiest way to do it is download the background image, edit it manually to make it's opacity 85% and then upload and replace the link.

Well the body includes everything on your forum. Are you just wanting certain areas to be transparent? If yes then you need to just add CSS to those certain areas.

How are you saying it won't help? I'm using that method currently for a theme.
You just want a transparent background right?

No, I want body of my forum to be transparent, when images(content) on the forum weren't.
So yeah. Like certain areas, but I don't know their names.

Are you wanting the whole forum's background image to be transparent or just the categories/forums themselves?
