Solved removal of "no more users accepted" from group legend ?

Post by rocket2300 on Sat 30 Jan 2016 - 13:30

When I click on any group from the legend they all say "This is a closed group: no more users accepted"
and I was wondering if its possible to change this text, preferably just to remove the "no more users
accepted" part ??.

im using PhpBB3.

Hello,

If you don't want the group closed, you can change it to an open group or even a hidden group, but beware that if you make it a hidden group it won't show on the legend.

You can do this in ACP (Admin panel)-->Users & groups-->Group Administration , select the group in question and where it says closed group, change it to what you want. Smile

The person wants to change the text to "This is a closed group" instead of "This is a closed group: no more users accepted"

Yes I read that. I am not sure if there is a way this can be done or not. I know there is no way using the default options. Whether it is possible via code or not I am not sure. Even though it says no more use accepted, you can still manually add users in.

I'm not sure how to do it but I think you would need to do some Usergroup template editing.

This is the part that deals with what you are referring to:

Code:
<label><input type="radio" name="group_type" value="{S_GROUP_CLOSED_TYPE}" {S_GROUP_CLOSED_CHECKED} />&nbsp;{L_GROUP_CLOSED}</label>

I know, I tried it LOL.

We have full paid members and normal registered members on our Club forum and if a
normal registered user clicks on the "full members" group in the legend it has that
text in it.
