Dormant Forum Site, Need help to restore!
I really need help here. I created a forum several years ago, I believe 2008 to be exact. I up kept the forum for a few years, but then decided it was not worth the time for my purposes of creating it in the first place.
I now would like to go in and reboot the forum site and bring it up to date, but a lot has changed since then and I can not figure out how to get to the admin portion of the forum site to where I can start updating the forum.
That is it in a nutshell.
Can you help?
Thanks

Hello,
Are you the founder of the forum? Can you login to the founder account (/u1)?
If you can, you can access the acp (admin panel) by clicking the 'Administration Panel' link at the button of the site. This will take you to the site admin panel .

Brandon,
Yes, I am. Please excuse my ignorance regarding this, but what is the founder account (/u1)? When I go to the site and login, it won't even let me do that? So, I am not sure how to move forward...?

Hi there,
He means "/u1" regarding the founder account by putting the URL address and adding "/u1" at the end (i.e. "help.forumotion.com/u1")

Re: Dormant Forum Site, Need help to restore!
here again, not sure that I am asking the right question or may be even in the right place. here is the forum location: http://aaswampform.forumandco.com/
It is not even letting me login into as I have here, but at the bottom, when I click on live links, this is where it takes me and using my user name and passwords from before, I was, at least able to get here.
All I am trying to find is how I get to the page that lets me update and edit the current forum page if that is even possible?
Thanks so much for responding...

Even your logged into your founder account, then you should see an 'administration panel link at the bottom of the forum. Click this and it will take you to your site administration panel.

Ape,
Thanks, tried this, but it keeps telling me that "The login and the password you specified are wrong."
The login and e-mail just to get into hear I took a stab in the dark, and got in. Now, I can not get through that page.

SL Gray,
No, that is the problem, every time I try to login, it tells me that "You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password."
So, the admin link is not there...

Then, when I try and tell the system that I lost my password, it tells me, "The security 'Disallow admin to send new password' is active in Admin Panel > General Admin > Security"
The e-mail address that I used when I first started the forum no longer is active! SO, how do I get around that...?
