Solved Issue about domain name

Post by Royal Bengal on February 15th 2016, 7:31 am

Hello,

Recently I changed my domain name to http://avacs.yforum.biz from http://avacschat.sforum.biz so in this case, my question is that is it possible to use both of domain names at the same time? Have any way to use my old domain with the new domain? Please give me solution.

No sorry you can only use one Domain name on our forum system..

If your members have your old forumotion Domain name in there bookmarks then it will redirect automatically to your new Forum address without a problem but if you buy / Have 2 Domain's you have paid for then it will only go to the one that you set up on the forum.

Not really sure why you got one then went and paid out for the 2nd one without letting the old one run out in the first place but still that is not really my problem LOL.

So the answer to your Question is NO you can not have more then one domain at any one time Sorry

Hello @Royal Bengal

Actually it is not possible to have two domain names for one forum. However, if you buy a domain name your forum will be available via the forum url: domain name + original forum url.

Hello @APE

Just I wanted to make it more brief, simple and comfortable for my forum users. That's why I changed it and went for a shortcut way. Hope, you got the point what I meant to you, Thanks

Are you referring to paid domain names (.com, .net, etc.) or the free domain names (forumotion.com, etc.)?
