Solved userprofile bodyline

Post by dodler-foddler on March 5th 2016, 5:59 pm

Hiya again!

I'm having issues changing just the user profiles .bodyline css. It seems that the general header template is added to the profile template after publishing.

I wanted it so that the .bodyline background image and background color are not displayed, so that users customized-able background profile could best be used. Kinda like this

Code:

.bodyline {background-color: display:none !important; background: display:none !important; webkit box shadow: display:none !important;}

how would I go about implementing this?

Which profiles are you referring to?

Add or find this code in your CSS
Code:
.bodyline {
    background-image: none;
}

The topic starter only wants it in the profile, not the whole forum.

well the background change is actually javascript and that works fine, I just would like to disable/change the css effecting the .bodyline class on just the profiles - maybe another append js? I kinda want to stay away from loading a ton of js on the pages.

Add this code to your profile_view_body template (you can find it in ACP -> Display -> Templates -> Profile)
Code:
<style>.bodyline {
    background: transparent!important;
    background-image: none;
}
</style>

already tried that before, unfortunately it gets overridden.

Hey,

Go to Modules > JavaScript codes management and create a script with the following settings.

Placement : In all the pages
Paste the code below and save :
Code:
if (/\/u\d+/.test(window.location.pathname)) {
  document.write('<style type="text/css">.bodyline{background:none!important;border:none!important;}</style>');
}

The above script will only execute if the pathname contains "/u" plus a number ( \d+ = number or sequence of numbers ) ; it works only on the profiles in short. It'll write this CSS into the HEAD section :
Code:
.bodyline{background:none!important;border:none!important;}
which should remove the background and border on the bodyline.

Thank you! it worked perfectly! much better than what I was just attempting here:
Code:
$(function() {
  if (window.location.pathname == '/u') document.getElementClassName('bodyline').style.display = 'none'
});

I'm really need to jump back into this stuff again XD

Thank you also to everyone who helped, I really appreciate it alot XD
