Solved Re-arrange Froum Description/Sub Forums and Moderators?

Post by Tattastic on March 10th 2016, 7:43 pm

Tried my best to think of the correct topic title, sorry if its not very good  Embarassed

If you see the image below...

What  would like to do if it is possible and if anyone knows how is move the Moderators under the Sub Forums...

So it goes in the order

  • Ancient Relics Coalition member's Youtube Videos and Twitch Channels
  • Sub forums (Youtube/Twitch)
  • Moderators

Can anyone help, or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help  Very Happy

Do you have the option set to yes for display moderators on the index?

If you look my Forum within the Catagory is ARC TV, the sub forums within that are YouTube and Twitch... These are below the Moderators of the Forum, I want the Moderators to be below YouTube and Twitch sub forums.

So at the moment it looks like...

I want it to look like this...

Solved Re: Re-arrange Froum Description/Sub Forums and Moderators?

Post by Tattastic on March 11th 2016, 6:33 pm

Thanks, I took over this forum, so logged in as the founder account, and code has worked, bit I need a space so it goes onto the next line.

What it looks like with the code...

I have entered a line break <br> in to coding where I thought it would go and the outcome works if sub forums are inlcuded, but but the ones that dont have them look like this...

If there is no sub forums I would like them to just go under the forum description like this

The code with the <br> I put in looks like this...

Code:
<div style="display: block; margin : 0 {catrow.forumrow.INC_LEVEL_RIGHT} 0 {catrow.forumrow.INC_LEVEL_LEFT};">
                        <h{catrow.forumrow.LEVEL} class="hierarchy">
                        <a href="{catrow.forumrow.U_VIEWFORUM}" class="forumtitle">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_NAME}</a>
                        </h{catrow.forumrow.LEVEL}>
                        <br />
                        {catrow.forumrow.FORUM_DESC}
                        {catrow.forumrow.L_LINKS}{catrow.forumrow.LINKS}
                        <strong>{forumrow.L_SUBFORUM_STR}</strong> {forumrow.SUBFORUMS}<br>
                                                          <!-- BEGIN switch_moderators_links -->
                          {catrow.forumrow.switch_moderators_links.L_MODERATOR}{catrow.forumrow.switch_moderators_links.MODERATORS}
                        <!-- END switch_moderators_links -->
                    </div>

Any suggestions how to get it just to fall to next line directly underneath, even if sub forums are not included?

Is there anyway to make it go down to the next line without the BR code? Like it does prior to the moderator switch? (The BR was just my guess).

If I do it by the code originally provided, it goes directly below the tea room, but the goes at the end of the sub forums. Like in this image...

I took the BR out now, incase anyone needs to check the coding on the page directly.

Post by Tattastic on March 11th 2016, 7:08 pm

I thought the same, just a switch of placing in the 2 pieces of coding to align them differently, but doesn't seem to be working.

Any suggestions @SLGray ? - Not trying to look like you've not been Helpful @APE because you have, just thought with SLGray offering the orginal code change maybe they'd have a suggestion.

If it cant be done, I'll just remove the mod links on the forums, just thought they'd be helpful.

Will get this posted later when I get home.

Unfortunately was busy yesterday afternoon after my post. Attempted to do it in work, but only way to get onto the admin panel is through a proxy so the coding gets messed up.

No worries if its not possible, not essential I have mods on there, just thought it would go well with my design changes I am doing, will just remove the mods from showing on each forum and create a widget outline who moderates the forum

Marked as solved, and thanks for all the help
