Second Domain Name
I'd like to repurpose an existing forum and put it under a new custom domain name.
It currently has a custom domain on it and I can't find a way to buy another one and then switch it to that.
I'd really like to save my members from having to register again and to save myself a headache of moving content.
Please help!!

Re: Second Domain Name
You will have to cancel the old domain name then purchase a new one for that forum.

Re: Second Domain Name
Thank you very much SLGray for the quick response. Do I retain ownership to the previous domain or does it poof?
Re: Second Domain Name
Are you wanting to use it for another forum?

Re: Second Domain Name
I was hoping to be able to still have access to the previous domain in case I needed to change it back in the future while the subscription is still current.
Re: Second Domain Name
You can not have two domain names redirect to the same forum.

Re: Second Domain Name
Oh I realize you can't have that happen at the same time.
What I'm asking is this scenario...
I buy Domain A and apply it.
I have decided I want Domain B instead.
So I go through the delete process for Domain A.
Then I buy Domain B and apply it.
Now if I want to go back to Domain A (within the year of having bought it), will I be able to or would I need to buy it again?

Re: Second Domain Name
Only if domain name A is still available.
P.S. Changing the domain name is not good for your forum's SEO.
