How long does it take for a custom domain to be removed?

I just want to make sure the process is not having a problem. I'm trying to delete my current custom domain so I may purchase another custom domain.

When did you cancel the domain name and stop the redirection?

Fairly positive I cancelled the domain on Friday. It shows it as "pending deletion"

most of the time it should take 24 to 48 hrs but as it was done on the Friday and its a bank holiday for most of us it will take longer as its a holiday all over.

so the best thing to do is hold out until maybe tomorrow or Wednesday

Please post a link to your forum so if its not done by then we could make a report to the office.
