Solved Px and Positioning Help For Header/Banner

Post by Genesis on May 31st 2016, 9:17 pm

So I took this from one of Ange's themes and modified the colors. I was wondering if I could have it modified so it doesn't cover the forums and categories due to my header being around 900px.
Code:
#page-header {
  background:#63A59A;
  position:absolute;
  top:0;
  left:0;
  right:0;
}

#page-header .headerbar {
  background:none;
  margin:0;
  padding:30px 10px;
  min-height:65px;
}

#logo { padding:0 5px; }
#logo img { max-height:900px }

#site-title, #site-title h1 { padding-top:0 }
#logo-desc { padding-top:15px }

OR

Instead of the code could I please have code to make it look the same?

Hey,

The quickest solution would be to add a padding or margin to the wrapper that is equal or greater than your header's height. So something like this :
Code:
#wrap {
  padding-top:300px;
}
Increase or decrease the value of 300px until the content is visible.

An ideal solution would be to edit your overall_header template and separate the header from the wrapper. That way it's width wont be influenced by the forum width.

Well if the classic version of your forum is not optimized for mobile there may be some inconsistencies. There's really only one way to find out ; give it a test and if it's not to your liking remove the code. No harm done. Wink
