Disable notifications for watched topics

Is there some way to disable notifications for someone posting in a watched topic? Or make it so a user doesn't watch a topic they post in?

But I want to know how to make it default. Like without every one of my users going into their respective profiles

Like on FM Support Forum the only notifications you get are from tags and private messages

I don't think there is anyway to make it by default via the options in the admin panel. I don't know if it is possible to do with code or not. I am not sure, but I dont think there is a way to do this, but I am not 100% sure.

I think it is one of those things that just has to be manually changed in the profile by the user.

No sorry this can not be done as the settings for this is servers side and we can not change the settings there. If there was a template for this then we could make a change to the templates and then you can change what you want it to do.

but as its done server side unless some one can come up with a JavaScript that over rides that system there is no way to do it.
