Solved Hiding Category/Forum Titles

Post by Gray on June 29th 2016, 4:01 am

As you can see above, I am attaching images to my forum categories, which also link to that particular forum when clicked upon. This renders the textual link (labelled in red) unnecessary. Is there any proper way or workaround to hide that textual link?

Is the image from the description or is it an image attached to the sub-forum. If it's in the secretion you can make it so it is a hyperlink and you can use code to replace the forum titles. However, if it is an image that you attached it to from admin panel options, I don't believe the image is clickable, so if you get rid of text, people can't access the sub-forums unless they know the direct link.

The image is linked in the description. Here's the link to my forum: http://revivaldawn-oprp.forumsmotion.com/

Add this to your CSS Stylesheet:
Code:
a.forumlink:link {
  display: none;
}

That is very useful! But, is there any way to have that only affect the index page? Because, this hides all the sub-forums also, and I only planned on making pictured links for the pictures on the home page.

The only way would be to use HTML code in the forum titles.

Ahh, that's too bad. I suppose I'll just have to put in extra effort and create pictures for all of the sub-forums. Thank you for your solution!

It's not much effort really. All you have to do is add this into your forum titles.

Code:
<span style="display:none;">FORUM TITLE</span>

NEVER provide your founder's account or email
Please provide forum's URL when dealing with design and appearance issues
Don't forget to mark the topic as when the issue is resolved. This helps the staff greatly.

Forgive me, but I'm clueless when it comes to HTML. Where exactly can I find these forum titles to which this code needs to be added?

Edit: OH! You meant in the forum titles in the categories and forums section. Your solution was exactly what I needed. Thank you very much!
