Questions about templates
This is the same topic as a previous inquiry . I am still confused about the templates . I want to find out what the difference is between a default template and a published template . Your answer in the past was that I will see the difference . But I see no difference . I can publish an entire template and see no difference . What am I looking for ? Even the description is not clear and seems to describe the way it already is . Please help me to understand these . It has been years now . I would like to know .
Thank you
Thank you
Re: Questions about templates
Hello
A default template is one that comes with the forum (in other words the one put in by forumotion when you created the forum). A published template is what your template is after you do a modification to it. If you make any changes or modifications to your templates, then you need to hit 'publish' them in order for the changes to appear on your forum.
If you make no modifications, however, then it remains the default template and thus, looks the same.
I hope this clears things up for you a little azwiz?

Re: Questions about templates
Yes that completely clears it up . Thank you . Is there a reason or an advantage to publishing a default template ?
Re: Questions about templates
Not really, since it is the default template. You wouldn't see any differences really.
You really only need to publish templates you make changes or modifications to.
