Solved Please help changing Watched Topics report

Post by Kenj on July 15th 2016, 12:44 am

I would appreciate some help with maybe a javascript to remove the number of views/VIEWS column from the Watched Topics report. I know that it's loading code called watchsearch. I had a look for it in the templates, but I don't see this search anywhere.

I was able to remove this column from the rest of the site successfully. This is the last one I'd like to prevent from being displayed. I've been stuck on this mod for awhile.

It's a phpbb3 forum.

Thank you.

The report can be accessed from the toolbar popup menu Watched Topics. It can also be found in the User Profile tab. I have javascripts to remove both access points for the time being.

The VIEWS (hit counter) column is what I would like to have removed from the report.

I highlighted the areas in dark blue on the capture.

The Watched Topics report is loaded by this code in the toolbar:

js_topics_followed : ['/search?search_id=watchsearch', 0],

Thanks for having a look.

@Kenj you can do this through CSS.

Code:
form[action="/search?search_id=watchsearch"] th:nth-child(6) { display: none; }
form[action="/search?search_id=watchsearch"] td:nth-child(6) { display: none; }

Put that in your Stylesheet and you're good.

Why does it have to be posted twice?

@SLGray the two selectors are different.

Code:
th
is referring to the heading "Views".
Code:
td
is referring to the number under Views in every line of the table.

I guess you could do this

Code:
form[action="/search?search_id=watchsearch"] th:nth-child(6), form[action="/search?search_id=watchsearch"] td:nth-child(6) { display: none; }

To avoid rewriting
Code:
{ display: none; }
but I chose to make it into two lines so it wouldn't wrap to the next line.
