Solved More suspicious activity

Post by Prof Pat Pending July 19th 2016, 2:34 pm

Hi

One of my members is having problems logging into the forum

Copied from his email
"I am getting the now very-irritating
security message and requiring the captcha routine that seems to have no
outcome so pointless.

"We have detected suspicious activity related to your account. To unblock
it, please click here and complete the form"."

It seems that he has to go through this routine everytime he logs on Sad

You recently resolved this issue for him here (hopefully all the details needed to resolve this are also here)

Kind regards

Pat

Hello,

Yes and then I told you the problem was because this user connects with different IP addresses everytime.

EDIT:
Should be okay now.

Solved Re: More suspicious activity

I have asked him about that, he has a number of devices, but mainly connects all of them through the same router (which he rarely reboots). He said that occasionally he connects via BT wifi, which does mean he uses other people's router as a hotspot.

Thanks for sorting it so promptly again, it is much appreciated.

I'll confirm this is resolved when he has let me know he can login.

He has logged in successfully, many thanks?

Just a thought, I did notice that he logs out when he has visited. Would he be better off asking his device to remember him and not logging out, or would it make no difference?

I think not logging out might be a good solution, but it might be fixed now with what I did.
