Post by Sinistra on October 5th 2016, 2:57 pm

Hi guys, I have a problem on phpbb3 that I can't use codes for wrap text around picture, and I can't really solve it with table. I tried lots of codes, but when I sent the post it just appeared like a simple text. Could you help me?

Hi there, can you provide a couple of things? Your forum's URL and a screenshot by chance of the issue?

Thanks.

Thanks.

I am not sure if this is the issue but it's worth a shot. Did you try enclosing the code with a / ?

Code:
<img src="/link" />

If you closed them, it would include the / at the end.

Try this:
Code:
<img src="link" style="float: right; padding: 5px; margin-left: 5px;" />

Are you 100% positive that HTML is already allowed on the forum? It might have gotten changed by accident without anyone noticing.
Double check again just to play it safe:
ACP > General > Messages and e-mails > Configuration > Allow HTML? > Yes
Save your changes and try to post the HTML image code again (double check that the HTML option is also enabled in the post itself).

If it still doesn't work for the image, see if just posting a link in HTML form would work:
Code:
<a href="http://www.google.com/" target="_blank">Link</a>

Okay, now the html appears. Thank you for that Smile
but if I use this code:
Code:
<img src="http://r38.imgfast.net/users/3815/37/89/19/avatars/3-61.gif" style="float: right; padding: 5px; margin-left: 5px;" />
The text still not wrap around the picture, but starts a new section. Looks like this: http://kepfeltoltes.hu/161006/dsfnjkbkfdgjknfdgnjlfdv_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.png

I'll play around with the code a bit and see what I can come up with that will work on the forums.

Solved Re: How to wrap text around image?

Post by Valoish on October 6th 2016, 9:43 pm

Code:
<img src="http://r38.imgfast.net/users/3815/37/89/19/avatars/3-61.gif" style="width: 200px; height: 250px; float: right; padding: 5px; margin-left: 5px;" />Remnant földjén vadászoknak nevezzük azokat, akik önként vállalva felveszik a küzdelmet a Grimm lényeivel.
A sorozatban megismert egyediségek is rendkívül változatosak, láthattunk példát gyorsaság-növelésre, mágneses mezők irányítására, árnyékkép kivetítésére, illúziók teremtésére, és megannyi másra is...
I tested the code above on my Forum with HTML allowed and it worked fine for me: Example
Try this one and see if it works. c:
PS. I used random text I found in one of your topics for this LOL. So it probably won't make much sense xD

Yeah it was the size. For some reason Forumotion forums, and probably just forums in general, can't read the image size by default like a regular browser can xD
