Solved Two different colours on my forum background - need it to be only one

Post by jkh on December 2nd 2016, 9:55 am

I seem to have two colours going on with my forum header and I can't see how to change it in the Admin Panel Colours:

It's also the same on the rest of my test forum - half red, half grey...

I have the same problem on my proper forum - you can see the top part of the screenshot is different to the bottom part. Is there a way to change it so it's all one shade of grey?

This is the CSS selector for that area:

Code:
.row1

Add it to your CSS stylesheet:
Code:
.row1 {
  background-color:  YOUR COLOR;
}

Thank you. I've just done that, but it's still red and grey.

Try this one:

Code:
.forumbg {
    background-color: none !important;}

Hello,

The red part is a picture

Admin > Display > Pics Management > Advanced
Last picture: Table's background image :

The grey part is a color, is you are not sure which option to use you can use these for the categories and topiclist backgrounds

Code:

.forabg {
background-color: gray;
}

.forumbg {
background-color: gray;
}

Yes, if you remove these red bars you get only the grey you already have

The grey color extends behind the whole category. The red is just a, repeated, picture on top of it.

Great stuff! Thank you very much - I've done that now which has sorted that problem out.

But... on my main forum, it's already set to grey so there is still a problem there.
I still have two shades of grey as you can just about see in the left hand margin on this screenshot.

In the CSS change the color from gray to #595959, that is the same color as the picture gray

Code:
.forabg {
background-color: #595959;
}

.forumbg {
background-color: #595959;
}

I just removed the grey bars and that seems to have sorted the problem out.
Is there a problem with doing it like that though?

In my opinion a slight gradient of some sort is nice on the header, but indeed not needed.

The color 595959 is the same as the end of the prosilver header picture, so it flows over

Original or not, for my taste, that is way to blue and not fitting the theme. And there still would be a two tone visible.
