Topic name is not a link anymore

Hello all,
I've been tweaking a theme, but somehow managed to mess it up. Being on the index page if I try to click on a topic name it leads to nowhere, I mean it doesn't function as a link anymore. :o

I guess the mistake is in the indexbox template? But where?

It's been awhile! 

Thanks for the code snippet. I've checked it and the code is the same for me - even tried to add yours, just to make sure I didn't overlook any typos, however it's still not working. Odd. 

And my code is the same like yours so thats not it .. Something else 
Also i checked rows 26,27 looks the same as mine ..

Have you tried to put the default template to check if that will solve the issue?

If I use the default template the topic links work. So something must be buggy in this template.

Just paste the original template on one side and the edited on the other and it will tell you every little thing thats different

Removed a set of <span>s and it's all good now.
