I am creating a new forum to replace an existing forum on another host. The original forum utilizes phpBB. My new forum here utilizes phpBB2. Is there a way that I can transfer threads from the older original forum from another host to my new forumotion forum here?

hello

You can not export the database from your forum, unfortunately. ..
why not just changing the theme and the version of your old forum ?

Unfortunately the prior host is no longer offering free forum services. The old forum will disappear at the month's end so I started a new forum here on forumotion. Since we had close to 2,000 threads, we were hoping to transfer some of the more important ones. We will have to copy and paste.

Thank you for the reply skouliki. Much appreciated.

Hello,

Yes you can import the database from old forum to a forumotion forum. You will, however, have to create a new forumotion forum as it is only possible to import a forum during the intial creation process.
