Is it good
Paid Hosting!
I would like to suggest to forumotion that they should also start hosting. In this we have to purchase real domain with money say it may cost around 9.99$/Year.
With this you will also provide hosting say 3$/Month or 36$/Year. Here what will be benefit for us is that, our forum can be moved to this hosting account and moreover, we can create website pages also. Moreover, Single sign-on system can also be developed here. Which is good.
This would be good. We can make website also and forum also retains too with us. Also, then many forumotion rules with be excluded because we have our website and forumotion is no more liable for that.
Although this suggestion will be just optional so dont worry free forums. Those want to more things can have this feature by paying.

Re: Paid Hosting!
Think that this is a Forum Hosting, not a webhosting. It's Forumotion, not Webmotion.
Re: Paid Hosting!

It is good who can pay for good. I want to build website and need this feature. This help to do much then more. We have ftp access and all. Moreover single-sign on which we need for building a website. Please support this feature
Re: Paid Hosting!
it's a nice idea, but i doubt if they will make use of the idea. Webspace hosting is much more complicated than hosting free forums, and proves often to much for most people, and would result in failure.
Now I personally dont want this host to stop with their services, so I vote NO.

well it is for those who wants. Free forum will continue but those who can pay will be shifted their.
Re: Paid Hosting!
Web space hosting is an fact the easiest method of using space as you setup the subdomain, set the size available and plonk the forum on it. because when someone has their own space they are responsible for the back-ups and the modifications.
If the site is corrupted the owner of the sub domain is responsible for getting it going again not the techs of forumotion.
Why do you think there are more hosting firms than forum sites?

Zinex it will help forumotion to earn and also this will be helpful to those who want to get rid of this free name. We can also have single sign on and other things. Moreover if you think we can free hosting also. we could have freewebmotion.com also.

Re: Paid Hosting!
as i say hitesh, forumotion provides free forums, thats what it is all about. not web hosting, that is something totally different.
Re: Paid Hosting!
hello zinex,
then it started sosblog.com
I was just thinking to expand this forumotion to large community rather then remaining in just small portion

Re: Paid Hosting!
sosblog is still free though hitesh, there is also no acess to database etc. however it is an option that forumotion could take if they wanted to, but i dont think members voting for it would convince them as it just isnt a simple matter
Re: Paid Hosting!
ok. But this will generate revenue for forumotion and happy ness who want this. Moreover forumotion will not take of free forums. This paid hosting just a lit bit extra for paid version.
Re: Paid Hosting!
sosblog has been less interesting and the fact is that of less attention to that. So i think it would have been better to start sosblog when forum system has been fully developed
