change size of forum

i created a widget to use on column 1.
it doesn't show up because the size of the forum can't be changed.

I put in 60% in configuration for width and it is STILL the same size-so no widget.

It must be in your CSS stylesheet which will override that option.

so how do i change that in the CSS sytlesheet -and can i?

Before we get to your CSS, did you be sure you made the column you want to have a size in it and no '0px'?

Admin Panel --> Modules --> forum widgets management --> forum widget general options --> width column (left)
