Domain name in arabic
Hello,
ForumOtion domain name doesn't check domain name in arabic however much sites are in arabic and domains containg a point (a question if this feature exists I am waiting for an answer).
But I am sure that other hosters host domain names in arabic and you have huge community of arabic forums. It is possible to host domain name of a name containing a point ?
Example :
http://حكم.net/

Latin domain : It is not fair as there is arabic forums on forumotion and may they wish domain name reservation in arabic. Such feature exists for many domain name hosters.

Re: Domain name in arabic
Hello,
So, it's not supposed to be done for that, but theorically, it's possible to host a domain name in arabic.
Actually, the arabic characters are writen as a "puny code" on internet; which means that for example, this : http://حكم.net/ can be interpreted with latin characters, called puny codes. Its puny code is : xn--sgb8bg.
xn--sgb8bg is exactly what حكم is. If you put on your search bar xn--sgb8bg.net , you should be automatically directed to http://حكم.net .
You can actually find all the punycodes you need on : https://www.punycoder.com/
So theorically, if you buy a domain name with this puny code, it should work. For example, when buying your name domain here, you should enter "xn--sgb8bg" instead of حكم.
I hope it's clear, I'm kinda bad at explanations
If you need more informations or anything, let me know ! And if you try and it doesn't work, don't hesitate to tell it to us
Have a good day

Punny code works.
I will try to buy a domain name in arabic, if it doesn't work I will open a new topic there.
