Solved Shift Forum Icons and Who is Online

Post by Valoish on July 3rd 2017, 5:48 pm

Technical Details

Forum version : #phpBB2
Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari
Who the problem concerns : All members
Forum link : http://www.canvasforums.com

Description of problem

I tried shifting the Forum Icons (New posts, no new posts and locked) above the Who is Online box via the templates but it didn't work as the Icons just disappeared.

Basically what I wanna do is drag the Icons into the Forums forumline so they're right under the forums and above the Who is Online box.

Hi @Valoish,

Go to Admin Panel > Display > Templates > General and open the index_body template.

Find and remove :
Code:
<!-- BEGIN switch_legend -->
<table border="0" cellspacing="3" cellpadding="0" align="center">
   <tr>
      <td align="center" width="20"><img src="{FORUM_NEW_IMG}" alt="{L_NEW_POSTS}" /></td>
      <td><span class="gensmall">{L_NEW_POSTS}</span></td>
      <td></td>
      <td align="center" width="20"><img src="{FORUM_IMG}" alt="{L_NO_NEW_POSTS}" /></td>
      <td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_NEW_POSTS}</span></td>
      <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
      <td align="center" width="20"><img src="{FORUM_LOCKED_IMG}" alt="{L_FORUM_LOCKED}" /></td>
      <td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>
   </tr>
</table>
<!-- END switch_legend -->
It should be at the end of the template.

Find and replace :
Code:
{BOARD_INDEX}

By :
Code:
{BOARD_INDEX}
<!-- BEGIN switch_legend -->
<table border="0" cellspacing="3" cellpadding="0" align="center">
   <tr>
      <td align="center" width="20"><img src="{FORUM_NEW_IMG}" alt="{L_NEW_POSTS}" /></td>
      <td><span class="gensmall">{L_NEW_POSTS}</span></td>
      <td></td>
      <td align="center" width="20"><img src="{FORUM_IMG}" alt="{L_NO_NEW_POSTS}" /></td>
      <td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_NEW_POSTS}</span></td>
      <td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
      <td align="center" width="20"><img src="{FORUM_LOCKED_IMG}" alt="{L_FORUM_LOCKED}" /></td>
      <td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>
   </tr>
</table>
<!-- END switch_legend -->
Save and publish the template when you're finished.

That should place the legend directly below the forums, but above the who is online section.
