Solved How would I change the banner and logo position?

Post by Fluffyrox4 on August 19th 2017, 3:17 pm

I use invision for my forum and I was wondering how I change the background banner in the default theme along with the position of the logo, so I can center it instead of it being off to the side. Thanks!

Hey, what's up ?
Try using this CSS code:

Code:
a#logo img {
    margin-left: 415px !important;
}

ACP(Admin Control Panel) > Display > Pictures and Colors > Colors > CSS.

Please modify the value of margin-left for the position that you want to have your logo Wink

Follow the path that i added on my last message Wink

ACP > Display > Colors > CSS Stylesheet.

If you want to have a background color, remember to use this attribute:

Code:
background-color: BG COLOR HERE;

Use hexadecimal values or in english. Example, if you want to have black color, use:
#000000 / black

Yoshi

Well, if you want to change the image. Go to:

ACP(Admin Control Panel) > Display > Pictures and Colors > Pics management > General / explore

Or use CSS too:

Code:
a#logo img {
background-image: url("YOUR NEW BANNER OR LOGO HERE");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
margin-left: 415px !important;
background-color: BG COLOR HERE;
}

I combined all attributes in one code hehe. Wink

Sorry I lied. One last thing though. Is there a way to add images for the profile, home, FAQ, etc. buttons? On top of that, you know how you can change the name of the portal? How do I change the name of the forum button, so I could have the portl be home, and the forum be something different.

In the same path i wrote, you can fin the navigation bar images. You should create the images to have the custom text.

And go to:

ACP(Admin Control Panel) > Display > Homepage > Headers and Navigation > Page headers > Display only images in the navbar : Yes

It's not unrelated. I asked the question about the forum name further up the board, and the banner image is originally what I had asked for.

Um, one last thing, and I mean it this time. I've noticed than when you put a different colour or an image as the banner background, it only covers the area behind the logo. How can I make it cover the entire thing, or even better, get rid of it alltpgether?

Please post your forum's link. Which one do you want: remove it or cover the all area?

I'd just like to get rid of the banner, but not the logo.

If you mean the color background then add this to your CSS stylesheet:
Code:
div#logostrip {
  background-color: transparent;
}
