Hello, they are using a CSS:

Code:
.postprofile .label, .postprofile .label span {
text-shadow: 0 0 1em #F70, 0 0 1em #F70, 0 0 1em #F70;
}

ACP(Admin Control Panel) > Display > Pictures and Colors > Colors > CSS

I am also having this problem. I can't get any of my groups names to apply any effects. Even after using these tutorials
http://help.forumotion.com/t131443-customize-usernames-according-to-group#881088
http://help.forumotion.com/t96136-group-s-style-on-legend-glitter-icon-glow

my forum http://www.bunn3hs-arkserver.com/

codes I tried (even tried placing them at the top of the style sheet
Code:
a[href="/g4-donators"] {
background: url("http://illiweb.com/fa/admin/couronne.png") no-repeat;
padding-left: 19px;
padding-top: 2px;
}

Code:
a span[style="color:#C28100"] strong {
text-decoration: none !important;
text-shadow: 0 0 0.6em yellow, 0 0 0.6em yellow, 0 0 0.6em black;
}

even the individual usernames code below doesn't do anything
Code:
a[href="/u5"]{
text-decoration: none !important;
text-shadow: 0 0 0.6em black, 0 0 0.6em black, 0 0 0.6em white;
}

I'm at a loss I dunno what else to try

I am confused about what you want the ranks to do. Could you post screenshots with what you want? I mean more than just one.

Hi, @Gz66, it's not that no one wants to help you. It's probably caused we don't know how to assist you with that kind of function. The reason how they have it like that on their site is cause they likely used their own coding. You would probably get more by asking them how they did it.

Solved Re: change rank to color of name glow

Post by Luffy on October 7th 2017, 8:46 am

@Gz66,

This is not happening based on what glow the name has but what glow the rank has. They made their ranks with specific classes and then they styled the user's profile information, based on their rank. So, how can you do it? Please follow the below steps:

This example is for the rank called "Administrator" and it's an example:
  1. Change the rank to
    Code:
    <span class="admin rank">Administrator</span>
    For the Moderators rank you can use:
    Code:
    <span class="moder rank">Moderator</span>
    etc.
  2. Go to your Javascript codes: Admin Panel > Modules > HTML & JAVASCRIPTS > Javascripts and create a new Javascript. Fill in the information as below:
    - Title: Whatever you want
    - Placement: In the topics
    - Code:
    Code:
    $(function() {
      $('div.post:has(".admin.rank")').addClass('adm');
      $('div.post:has(".moder.rank")').addClass('mod');
    });
    If you have more groups then you add them the same way.
  3. Last but not least you need to add this CSS:
    Code:
    .post.admin.rank .postprofile dd, .post.admin.rank .postprofile dt { text-shadow: 0px 2px 4px #FFF; }
    .post.moder.rank .postprofile dd, .post.moder.rank .postprofile dt { text-shadow: 0px 2px 4px #DDD; }
    and you continue the same way. Of course you can change how the shadow appears and the shadow color!

This should add the "glow" you want! Wink

Give that one user a rank.

Create a rank with the coding that Luffy posted and only give that rank to that one user.

Simply, create a new one and add the codes.
Let's say the new group will be called Members, then you should use this:
Code:
<span class="membe rank">Member</span>
and add this to the javascript:
Code:
 $('div.post:has(".membe.rank")').addClass('mbr');
and this in the CSS:
Code:
.post.membe.rank .postprofile dd, .post.membe.rank .postprofile dt { text-shadow: 0px 2px 4px #F00; }
