Solved Directing Welcome Message

Post by maskedhalo October 9th 2017, 10:35 pm

This is a dumb question, but I've seen users posting welcome message issues in this part of the forum. .

But I have the welcome message enabled, and I couldn't really find this anywhere Razz .

My question is if on an Invision or PhpBB2 forum, does %user% work? I want it to put their username in the welcome message to seem more immersive, I guess.

Once again, I am sorry if this is the wrong forum or a dumb question, I actually tried to find the answer, and I tried finding the correct forum. :/

The welcome message is a PM to the new members only not in the main forum.

when making your welcome text you need to type this code
Code:
{USERNAME}
it will then show up in the text like below

That will show up like this
Hello Guest how are you Smile

the name will change to every member reading the PM or post at the time. Very Happy
