Solved Need Help With Editing Certain Areas of My Forum

Post by thebearhugger on January 14th 2018, 7:59 am

Hello, I am having problems finding certain areas for editing the forum. I've used forums before, but I can't seem to find what I need to do here.

First, I am trying to find out "exactly", where to extend the height of my Header.
Second, My forum seems to have transparent spaces at the top part (shown below)

Please help me. Thanks in advance.

The transparent areas are where the three arrows are. As far as the codes you mentioned, I have tried to find that section without success

Thanks for trying to help me. I'm totally confused, seems like you're possibly frustrated with my stupid questions and just gonna call it quits. I have no idea what you mean by "add it". How can I add it and from where?
Thanks anyway.

Hi @thebearhugger

Let's start from the beginning Smile
Forumotion has a lot of possibilities at the time of customizing your forum. One of them is via CSS which is a programming code that allows you to customize the visual appearance of your forum.

So, if you go straight to ACP => Display => Colors => CSS
That's the place where you can put your codes. That means, that skouliki is suggesting you to put this:
Code:
#logo {
      padding: 5px;
}
into the white space located in the path that I've pointed out to you before Wink.

Of course don't feel frustrated. The proposal of this forum and the reason people are here is to help you either if you know a lot or either if you know nothing Wink

If the code above (the one from skouliki) doesn't do anything in your forum I'd be helpful if you could give us the URL of it to give you an accurate support.

By the way, this forum has a "FAQ" for the beginners that may help you a lot if you take a look at the topics Mr. Green http://help.forumotion.com/f5-frequently-asked-questions

Hello,

Don't give up! We are here to help. Very Happy

The css box is empty because you never added any css code before, that is normal. All you have to do is copy and paste the code skouliki provided into that white box and hit submit. It will then appear in the white box and take effect.

I hope this explaination, along with mpellmc's help you understand what it is you have to do. Smile

-Brandon
