Solved Need Help Fixing Rage Damage

Hey guys,

I added a member of my site to staff, but then things happened and I was forced to remove him. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of informing him and THEN removing him, and he had moderator positions, and more or less deleted all the important topics on my forum. As an RP forum, this is a very huge problem. Can it be rolled back? Is there another suggested fix?

The forum ishere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Our last backup was some time ago, and there would be a lot of information lost if we ran that. Is it possible to make a back up, run the old one, copy the information we need, and restore the backup we made today, to then copy the information over?

There isn't - I'm not the founder, I don't think he knows how to operate on the support forum, so I'm being his liaison, but no, he says there isn't. He says the newest one was March 22nd.

Alright, I've linked him here, he's probably making an account at this point. In the mean time, is it possible to just look into the security archives or something like we can for admin actions and then reverse them?

Nope.  Backups are done through the forum's utilities.

Solved Need help restoring a recent backup

Hello, I recently added a member of my forum to a moderator position. Things happened and said member went on a deleting spree before having to be banned from the forum. They deleted a lot of our systems and such, which are vitally important to our RP community. I am the founder and have gone to the utility section available for regaining a backup, but our most recent backup was two weeks ago. We will lose a large number of important posts and such if we use this backup. Is there any way to get around this?

Does it not create another backup of your current site when you restore an old one or anything like that? Is there no way to force another backup?

EDIT: This implies we can - in fact it says we have to. How do we do that?

"If you restore your forum with a full backup on date X, the entire board will be restored. (NOTE: The "gains" of the forum may be crushed uf the structure of the forum has changed in the meantime). The forum is restored to the exact state it was on the chosen date, ie a backup on a date X is a copy of the forum on date x. To retrieve your gains made after date X, you must make a second backup.

If i choose to restore on date X, all posts made since then and all members registered since then will be erased. After making X backup, i will have to make Y (current date) full backup to retrieve all new memberz and messages posted between X and Y."

I believe you are correct.  I have never had to do a full restore.
