[Only Topic] Cannot See Photos Posted From Photobucket

We have a tagger posting tags that she has in Photobucket but no one can see them. In the Admin Panel this is marked no:
Disable the display of Photobucket pictures on the forum : Yes No
Any idea why they're not showing up?

She has a paid acct with PB......maybe it's run out & she doesn't know it. Thanks.

Her paid acct has not run out. We were able to see her tags until Friday afternoon & now they can't be seen.

The forum I'm in have the same problem and just started.

Admin settings are appropriate.

Did something change within Forumotion and/or PhotoBucket?

She has a Premium Acct & it is up to date so that is not the problem.
The Photobucket Display in Admn is set on no, so that is not the problem.
Disable the display of Photobucket pictures on the forum : Yes No
Something else is causing it.

It is possible it is a bug.

I just need a screenshot of what appears and if possible, a topic where you guys tried to post the images. Then I can make a report.

Since you made this an "only topic," I will expand a little. In reference to the question posed by DeltaForceChung, on the onexisthfigures.forumotion forum we have experienced the problem with the display of images from Photobucket. For a while they displayed fine, but in the last several days they would no longer be displayed to most users, using a variety of browsers. The setting allowing the display of images from Photobucket has been set correctly all along, and toggling it makes no difference. I provide the link to an example thread below. Apparently the original poster was eventually able to see his images again (even while logged out of Photobucket), but it seems that the rest of us cannot.

I wondered if the problem may have been posed by editing the original post to add searchable hashtags, but I checked and after that edit was done users were still able to see and comment on the then-still-viewable images. I also checked the post with two different browsers, one of them without the other's ad block software (in case that got in the way of viewing the images), but it made no difference.

Any help overcoming this issue, which has several of our users at the end of their wits, would be most appreciated.

I copied what the original poster posted in my group. Below are the image codes. GubernatorFan (admin) posted a link to the thread in the affected forum.

Below are the image links directing to PhotoBucket. The images do not show in the group at all.

I hope this helps. The images are of action figures/toys and non-offensive. Below are the hash tags as well (could they be affecting this)? Please reply using the quote so the image codes can be seen.

As far as PhotoBucket is concerned, all is fine on their end supposedly.

That's why we're asking you at Forumotion.

I noticed this today as well, so I looked at the image URL and I see some extra characters added to the URL which is breaking the image, namely "2img.net/h/".

I think it's related to a problem with Postimg images from this thread.

Here's a quote from the Postimg thread, and you can see the extra characters that were added for the Postimg fix.  It seems the "fix" was also applied to Photobucket in error.

So what is the next step to correct/rectify this issue?

The images are not showing @ all in our group either from the tagger who is posting them from Photobucket. She says she can see them when she loads them in the post, but after she clicks on send they're not there.

One of our forum members who has had this problem with the display of Photobucket images had this to say after we last invited him to test different ways of inserting the images. Maybe this would help give you an idea of the issue:

"After a few testing on my side, I am pretty sure it comes from the forum and not photobucket guys. Every time I copy and paste a directlink using the insert image function, it works perfectly, at least it looks like it. Except, once I post, all the links are corrupted with some weird and annoying 2img.net prefix... That is what prevents from seeing the pics. Whatever I do, all the links get corrupted as soon as I post or edit...
No need to say I'll stop posting until it gets solved cause it's useless, and I already have all my links to redo on each thread..."

Once again a ticket has been created and has been seen by our head office. I am sure the techs will look into this when they have a chance. Chances are someone accidently applied the postimage update to photobucket as well. I am sure this will be correcteds soon.

I or another staff member will post back when we have an update on this.

It looks as if the Photobucket image display images have been resolved. Thank you Brandon and everyone else who worked on this. I don't know whether this needs to be addressed further but here is a curious detail (and something that still differs from the performance before the issue occurred).

When I tried to view the Photobucket photos posted in my forum (I'm using Firefox in Windows 10), I would see them flicker every time I reloaded the page, but then they would hide. I thought it had something to do with my ad blocker, but it didn't. Eventually I got them to show by disabling (yes, disabling!) one of my two photobucket image fix add-ons (the one called "Photobucket Embedded Image Fix", as opposed to "photobucket embed fix").

Can anyone else confirm if this is fixed or not? The ticket still says In progress, but that doesn't mean they didn't fix it and not update.

Can everyone please confirm for me whether or not they are shoaing now?

Some of the users on my forum are still having issues not seeing images, at least in some browsers (e.g., Safari on iPad). The fix I described above might be specific to Mozilla Firefox that uses those Photobucket add ons; I have confirmation that the issue was fixed as far as Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and Internet Explorer were concerned.

I am waiting on the member who uses Photobucket to reply....she' not been in since early this morning.

Thanks for the suggestion, Brandon. A couple of users who had trouble with this (one of them using Mac products) were able to see the images again after clearing their cache and cookies. I am still waiting for one user to respond, but everyone else seems to agree that the issue has been resolved.
Edit/Update: All my users who experienced trouble with this have now reported that the issue is resolved.
