if you mean changing the skin, NO because then you have to go in and re-apply your logo and everything. too much work.

Although I have had my forum for nearly 3 years, this will be the first time I add a seasonal theme.
I chose a gorgeous xmas theme and I can't wait!! Is it time yet!! :wouhou:

Hi
I used some decoration from this site at Christmas - but in March my forum will be 1 year old
And I would really really like to be able to decorate for that event... I just don't know how
Anybody here who can help me?

Changing a thing or two, like buttons, parts of the skin, etc. - yes, why not. It's nice to have a little change sometimes. But in general, like changing the whole skin or the complete look of the forum - mostly no. A new design is a great thing, but it needs a lot of work and time for the members to get used to it Smile

My forum is a child friendly forum based on a virtual game owned and founded by Build-a-BearWorkshop so I believe keeping the younger ones gripped and excited about the forum I have to have new themes and a new banner. This year however, we are not sure what to do. We are working very very hard on a new default theme so we are just concidering changing the banner now again. Last year we did a really nice Christmas theme Smile

Thankfully, I have a genius forum friend and advisor who has created a theme switcher for me. I can basically switch themes on/off with the flick of a character in the ACP....... Smile Wink

As I was saying before, I'm one of the fortunate ones who has a close and faithful forum counterpart who has made things so much easier on my forum. Dion has created a theme switcher on my forum that I have control over AND it's so simple and easy to use. I simply replace one single character in my ACP and I can toggle between themes for Christmas, Halloween etc. This is totally customizable and I can tweak each theme independent of another. AND, it's controllable by the admin ONLY. Smile Very Happy sunny
