anyway, if the url is wrong or the file no longer exist, there is a 404 page and redirect to homepage automatically

yeah, i know, i would like that to be customizable.. so admins can edit it and put words in it instead of the plain words and the redirect.

404 is the page shown when the url is wrong or you get into a wrong page, nothing about connection

BUMP! It would be really nice if you can customize that thing ^ just look at it. it looks too plain! and doesn't match the theme. (my theme) and most forum's theme.

You can, in all reality, customize them. Forumotion would just have to allow it. Might be useful. If nothing else, it's another option, something that isn't too bad to have.

acually your 404 page changes depenging on the browser that you use. Forumotion would have to spend alot of effort to mass them all together so you could custom them.

that forumotion would have to spend alot of time trying to do this because all the different browsers (firefox, IE7, Opera) have different 404 pages. Forumotion would have to create something that all browsers would reconize.

The creation of the custom page itself isn't difficult. It is just another HTML file saved with any name you want it to have.

Out of all the suggestions out there, is this really what you want the tecchies to work on? I put no as there is little to no advantage to this.

of the windows http error message system Laughing

well, aside from the reputation thingy and the no post count on a certain forum, i really like this idea.
You can match it with your theme and you don't get redirected back to the homepage O.o

You can also say something like this!

Ooops! wrong link!
