Chsoe your language

Post by darkspectre on December 12th 2008, 5:57 pm

My suggestion is that when a user register on your forum, outside of the existing profiles to can be added the profile ,,Choose your language'' because for some users is difficult to change the language from profile.

ForuMotion already allows user to change their account's language, and have enough languages as it is and their not going to add anymore as i believe.

This I don't think will help very many people at all.
Sorry, but i voted No

i vote yes, i think we should have 2 or 3 languages ( English and anorther is your language example), when people enter our forum, they can choose the language that they can understand.

I voted no. I like English ( not my mother language ) and if you want to communicate with the outside world - learn it. It sounds harsh doesnt it... Sad

No, no, no ... You have not got the idea.
I want to be created a new profile to change the language of the forum.I mean a profile to change only information from the Forumotion like ''Forum Terms of service'' from registration.
This profile i want to be added at registration sheet:

I voted yes because this would increase the number of members on the forums because any person who speaks any lanuage can understand what the people are saying.

I voted "Yes". Very good idea but...

I have a forum that must be bilingual. However, it would be nice to have this option before seeing the "Registration Agreement Terms".

How can an English user "Agree to these terms" when the Forum is in french by default and they don't even understand what are the terms before registering?

Thank you!

I vote no !
For the simple reason that, I don't want to see people open a topic in Japan langiage and the other answer in German and then other answer in Portuguese and France and...
No oner will understand what is the Topic about !

I give an option of a google Translator.

Exactly my current issue I am glad I am not alone in this.

For those who say people will answer in a different language, that's not really the case, it is not content translation, it is the skin itself, the board default text to navigate around. My boards are bilingual, but not everyone understands Spanish, and it is a turn off for them registering with a Spanish interface.

If they could have the interface in their language before registering it would help lots.
