Jaded BETA version 2,0

Post by Jalokim on January 7th 2009, 6:07 pm

First topic message reminder :

Hey...
I have launched my new generation themes onto hitskin.
This theme was reserved... but I decided to make a swap seeing as this theme has the beta new generation installments on it. The theme might be a little rusty, and there might be bugs... please report all so that i can improve the new beta versions...

This theme you have seen before... so now you can bite into it for real.
A delicate black/gray and blue theme for anyone to use. There are a couple new additions that weren't included in my first showcase... so take a look and see.
Oh and hitskin once again made a mess of the preview... I don't know why it happens... the theme looks like on the image... don't be fooled by hitskins preview

enjoy XD

Preview:

Installation

**edit ...forgot to mention that the widgets have magically started working... in a sense, so you don't have to worry about widgets. but remove them to get the full package

NEW UPDATE

New css fix here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2znjmzmt33i

credits to merlinz for this new CSS update...
cheers

Forget that crap... the theme has been reinstalled on hitskin:

Excellent job! And awesome fast, if I might say Very Happy

PMs and Profile looks right now. Any chance that chatbox width fit given window without need to scroll left right and height without that one or two rows blank at bottom of chatbox?

The resolution of there screen is: 1024x768

And I tested with IE and this screen resolution and I saw the scrolling too.
Normaly I use Firefox so I have no problem, but I realy want to use this skin on my forum and I want that everbody can use it too Sad.

Jaded is a fixed theme... and it doesn't change size when members change resolution.
The theme was designed for 1024 resolution members. I do not know why it expanded so much. Are you using any widgets?

If you say IE is affected have you installed the update?
http://www.mediafire.com/?2znjmzmt33i

If this doesn't help then members will have to get accustomed to scrolling.

Yes I had installed the update Wink, that was the first thing I did.

I will check if the problem is maby in the portal? Because on the portal I used widgets. I'll come back if that is the problem or not.

[Edit]

I checked and Sad the problem didn't go away. Furthermore I only use IE 7 (and I don't like IE at all Mad, I use FF).
Ok, if I used the zoom of IE and in stead of 100% I make it 75% there is no scrolling, but of course the text is to small to read.

I don't know what the do now.

Ok, I have a mini notebook with a screen resolution of 1024x600 and if I use IE 8 I have no problems with scrolling. I think I have to advice people to use IE 8.

But with my forum I have this in IE and Chrome:

And an English forum in Chrome:

I have no problems with Firefox. I hope this problem can be solved, because me and my members love this template a lot.

edit: aggie i check on IE and I didn't experiance problems?????
I'll get you a fix to make it a little bigger, but its fine on my PC.... ?

I saw another problem. If I use the poll I can't read anything. The poll is dark but the text also.

And if I had voted the colors are correct. It's before voting.

The chat is ok now, but about the other problems? I can't fixed it. The poll is not good to see and it doesn't matter what kind of color I give, it doesn't change.

And the gallery problem is still there of course.

I installed the skin, but with the gallery moderation page I have the problem. I use FF, I don't use IE because I hate it.

The colors are bad, because it's to dark to see something.

This is the poll, and if I will change the colors, it do nothing.

Re: Jaded BETA version 2,0

Post by Jalokim on June 29th 2009, 6:29 pm

thanks aggie... I'll take a look at it now

aggie and others:
find this code in your CSS:
Code:
table.ipbtable th.formsubtitle,.formsubtitle {
   background-color: #282828;
   }

and add this class:
Code:
   color: #ADADAD;

so your code will look like this:
table.ipbtable th.formsubtitle,.formsubtitle {
background-color: #282828;
color: #ADADAD;

}

and after that find this:

Code:
.poll .poll-choice {
   clear: both;
   margin: 0.5em 0;
   }

and add this class:
color: #F1F1F1;

Thanks, and it's strange because I did it a while ago this:

Code:
.poll .poll-choice {
  clear: both;
  margin: 0.5em 0;
  color: #FFFFFF;
  }

And it didn't work, but I'm glad it work now.

Wait Jalokim, you are the one who made that skin? I saw that as the most popular skin on Hitskin one day. I used it one time, I loved it. But now I am to beachy styles.

Adiex, nice profile picture, when I was scrolling, your profile picture made me think I had bug on my screen. nice lol Smile

Only this isn't fixed in Firefox Sad, it looks good in IE 8, but not in Firefox.

Also I have a question about the footer. Is it right that the footer color is changed? The links are black now instead of white. I can change the current time on the right side.
And I can changed the background color, but not the links.

Code:
/* ************************Footer************************* */
#gfooter {
background-image: url("");
background-color: #242424;
background-position: center;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
   }
#gfooter a {
   color: #F1F1F1;
   }
.statlinks ul li a {
   border-bottom: 1px dotted #464c55;
   color: #464c55;
   }
.statlinks ul li a:hover {
   border-bottom: 1px solid #464c55;
   }

gfooter a is a link color, but it doesn't work.

I have 2 problems:

Well, one problem, and one thing i just dont like much :d

1.) I find the light blue text to be, well, too light. Sometimes you have to really look at it to see it well. I was wondering if you could make the text just a tad darker.

2.) When you go to upload an avatar, the top desc. of the avatar is unreadable at the bottom. Here's a scrennie:

Jalokim? Your photobucket bandwidth is exceeded. But I solved the problem for my self, I saved the images on my photobucket account so it don't use your bandwidth anymore Wink.
